The President and CEO of the National Business League, Inc., Dr. Kenneth L. Harris, was our special guest in our February 2018 membership meeting at the Gilmour Center.  He shared a powerful lecture on Economic Empowerment as a mentorship tool for young black men.

He urged everyone to own a business in order to remain competitive and make a real impact in our world. Dr. Harris emphasized to the 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit membership that “talking and preaching without being an example is easy and cheap. Make some money in your pocket with your business and make a global impact. You’ll change the game.”

Also, new members of the 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit were inducted into the organization by President Kevin Claxton and the board.  Each inductee shared a brief story about who they are and what they are passionate about with the 100 Black Men.  We welcome our new members inducted into our great organization tonight. What an amazing group of passionate and dedicated men!

Dr. James D. Smith also delivering an interesting session on Strategic Thinking at our membership meeting tonight.  It was a great meeting session.  See you next month!
